Greetings Residents – this is Nick the property Manager at the Diamond property.
Since I know all of you don’t live under a rock (pun intended) I wanted to give you an update on the hurricane and what to expect at the property. Based on the latest information we are expecting strong winds 35-40 MHP and estimated 8-10 inches of rain fail. This is expected to begin this evening.
PLEASE DO:
Ensure that all windows are closed and locked. If they aren’t locked, you can expect them to blow open and potentially cause water damage. **If you are leaving, please ensure windows are closed and locked before leaving.
Good news:
We are on the Hospitals Power Grid and Water/Sewer system. This means we’ll be the first ones to be restored if we do indeed lose power. Additionally, all of our buildings are made of Brick Veneer which is very durable and these buildings performed extremely well during the 2018 direct hit “Hurricane Florence”.
Bad news:
There are lots of trees around the property. This means that there is a potential of down trees. I would recommend trying to strategically park your vehicles accordingly. I did not reach out to the hospital clinic (directly across from our entrance) but it may be a good idea to park there, or elsewhere as there may be small trees/limbs that could come down onto vehicles and cause damage.
General News:
It is always a good idea to have a flashlight and batteries, gallons of water and perishable food in the event that we lose power.
Please call/text me at 910-408-2505 with any property updates. I will be checking on the property regularly and certainly appreciate you all.
